Katonah-Lewisboro board votes 5-2 to close beloved elementary school

The 73-year-old Lewisboro Elementary School, often described as an anchor that binds the community of South Salem, will cease to exist as a cherished institution come Aug. 31. In a 5-2 vote Thursday, the Katonah-Lewisboro Board of Education voted to close the school.
