South Salem will hold a two-day observance of Veterans Day starting Thursday at 2:15 p.m. when the John Jay for Veterans Club will host a flag placement ceremony on the front lawn at John Jay High School. A free pancake breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the South Salem Fire Department is open to veterans, their caregivers, spouses and family members.
