A South Salem man was charged with robbery and assault after allegedly beating a man and stealing his wallet at the Oak Ridge Commons Condominium Complex on Route 123 on Monday night, according to New York State Police. The 27-year-old victim was reportedly being dropped off at his home by a friend when Wyatt Gilchrist, 21, allegedly pulled the victim from the vehicle and began punching him.
